Using Word and Windows 2

Hi everyone in Y6,

The video below has more tips about how to use Word and Windows. It is 25 minutes long – so you might want to watch it in two sessions. Why don’t you have it on your iPad and try to do the same kind of activity on a PC, that’s if you have access to a PC. Pause the video and ‘have a go’, it’s the best way to learn. Don’t forget to watch the previous video too – it’s only 5 mins long.

You can make comments, ask questions or request tutorial videos on here too.

Good luck

PS. Did you enjoy the science activity we did in the resources room? If so, why? Remember to use full sentences and punctuation.

Y6 – Reviewing Use of Windows and Word.

Hi everyone, we have noticed that we need to brush up on our PC skills. We can use our iPads fantastically well, but due to us using them so much some of us have forgotten some of our previous learning. I will post videos on here with tips to remind you how to use some of the packages on a PC.

PS. sorry about the slightly annoying music in the background – I won’t use it next time.

We want to decorate the ICT suite with your art work. Why not make a poster about any aspect of technology and we can make it larger and decorate the suite with it? It can be digital or traditional art – it’s up to you. Just think how great it would be to have your art work permanently on the walls… You can hand in paper/card posters to your teachers and I will make a folder in Google Drive for digital ones.

Can you think of a new, cool and creative name for our ICT suite? Send me your suggestions to this post and then we can pick the best!

Welcome Back To School!

Hi everyone. We all hope you have had a fantastic summer holiday and are ready to learn lots and have fun this term. The ICT suite is changing and will include many more things, not just PCs – so firstly we will have a competition to give it a new name and secondly we want you to create some amazing artwork so that we can make them into posters for the walls in the room. Follow this Y5/6 blog and also the primary blog to find out all the details.
