Cracking Christmas Reads!

Why not curl up with a lovely book over the long Christmas holidays? In my opinion, it’s the best way to improve your English and have fun at the same time!

Ms Sayce is going to read The Night Before the Night Before Christmas (by Kes Grey) with her young son and  Ms Stenhouse is going to read The Constant Princess by Philippa Gregory (however this isn’t a children’s book). I’m not sure what to read, so please give me some suggestions.

Here is a list of recommended festive books.

I am going to read “My terrible uncle” it’s of David Williams! I am going to read it because I read the blurb and I think it’s going to be a fun book.

Great Diego. I haven’t read that one, but it is supposed to be very funny (most of his books are).

I would recomend you the The millionaire boy by David Willliams if you haven´t read it yet of course.

I am going to read Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney. I like it so much and I am very excited because it’s the new one that they published.

This Christmas I have read a book called The Midnight Gang by David Walliams. This book is about a gang of 4 children in a hospital. The main character is called Tom and he creates the gang but the leader is a girl called Amber. The story is about the whole gang staying awake until midnight and getting out of bed and going down to the hospital basement to make each other’s dreams come true. I would recommend this book to all children that like adventure stories. It will make you laugh and you will absolutely love the baddie Matron and the disgustingly dirty Dilly!

What a fabulous review Roberto! Very well done. I’m glad you enjoy reading so much. Have you read his most recent book ‘The Ice Monster’, it’s about a woolly mammoth and is supposed to be very good.

During the holidays I read Neymar and it’s a very good book because it tells you all about his life in Brazil and in Spain. And all his tournaments he had.

That sounds great Adrian. I might look for a book about Mo Salah, who is my current favourite Liverpool football player. Thanks for your comment.

During the holidays I read ( and still am reading ) Little Women. My mom read that book as a girl, and I can’t wait until I’ll get further into the story!
