Ted Talks – Interesting Video

Hi

Here is a video explaining what would happen if you could fold a piece of paper  20 or 30 times (it’s impossible – but just imagine) and how high the paper would reach. It also explains the tricky concept of exponential growth really well. Try answering the multiple choice quiz after it.

Interesting Websites

Hi

When I go to London I love going to the Natural History Museum, it is absolutely amazing for me to see all of the incredible displays. The link below is for their interactive website – so if you are interested in fossils, animals, meteorites etc. check it out. You can take a virtual tour and listen to Sir David Attenborough’s commentary  (he makes the most amazing wildlife documentaries). Do you know any museums that have  virtual tours?

How to Draw Doraemon (or a normal cat really)

Hi there,

Here is a short video showing you how to draw Doraemon. Why not have a go… and if you could make a short instructional video about how to draw something simple – please make one and upload it to the Google Drive folder of work for the blog. I’m not a good artist – but I tried… When I lived in Japan, one of the children I taught showed me how to do it.
