Y3A Fab Recorder Performance in Class

Hi, I thought you might like to see the beginning  of the process of learning how to play the recorder. It’s great to see how you all progress as you become more skilled and practise. Here is Ms Sadler’s class with a lovely performance – well done class and Ms Van der Woude. Didn’t they do well. What do you think?

Persuasive Writing

image

Hi everyone,

Here is a fantastic example of a very persuasive letter from Elsa in Ms Shepherd’s class. It hasn’t been marked by the teacher in this copy. My challenge to you is to find great examples of the features of persuasive writing and then post them here. Also, because it hasn’t been marked, you could tell us all how you could improve it(remember to be positive and polite).

ARE YOU UP FOR A CHALLENGE?

PS remember all ideas for the ICT suite name and posters need to be in on Monday! There is a folder in the ‘General’ section of your Google Drive to send me work for the blog for any digital work. Thanks.

Marvellous Maths Challenge

Have a go at this challenge. It isn’t easy, but if you are determined you can do it. You need to explain how you did it, but you could use paper, make an Explain Everything presentation, Keynote, anything really. A purple form for the best explanation! Good luck – you can do it!

Creative Writing

Hello everyone, what do you think has happened in this photo? Get creative and inventive and describe what has just happened. It can be funny, serious, silly… anything really, as long as it is interesting and written well. Think about using adverbs, adjectives, similes, metaphors etc. and make sure you use a wide variety of punctuation. A purple form will be awarded to the most interesting one!

UNICEF Talk

I hope you found the talk interesting and informative. We were all very impressed with your behaviour and the sensible questions that were asked at the end. Please post any other questions that you have – it’s ok to write them in Spanish (just for this post).

Thanks
