Happy World Environment Day!!
This year’s World Environment Day’s theme is Beating Air Pollution, as it is a global health crisis:
- 9 out of 10 people breathe toxic air
- 7 million premature deaths are caused by air pollution each year
To celebrate World Environment Day here in Caxton Primary the eco warriors have been giving Year Group assemblies to educate the students on the issue and what they can do in their daily lives to help improve the air quality here in Valencia. They also gave the classes plants which help to purify the air in their classrooms.
In addition, we are running a mask challenge, whereby students need to take a photograph of themselves wearing a mask (a symbol of air pollution), doing the action they will do to help beat air pollution. Deadline for photographs
