Mindful May is a month to relax and enjoy life.

Mindfulness is very important in our lives, particularly if you are worried about something.

There are loads of ways to be mindful like going for a walk, doing a mindfulness activity ,spending time with your pets/family and much more!

Being aware of how you´re feeling is very important since if you are stressed, you can’t think as well and you don’t feel very healthy.

Elise Bialylew is the creator of this wonderful month and she also wrote a very interesting and best-selling book called The Happiness Plan. Jon Kabat-Zinn was the creator of mindful meditation. These two people are very inspiring as they have shared many strategies to help us feel happier and less anxious.

Mindfulness helps people to not get stressed, to cope better with bad illness and reduce anxiety and depression. Being calm and relaxed can help you to focus and stay very happy. 

Did you know practicing mindfulness actually involves a variety of skills? In mindful May, people usually try to work on these things: non-judging, patience, positive  mind, trust, acceptance, being calm, being grateful and generous.

So if you aren’t feeling your best and you’re not sure what to do, here are some top tips!

  • Try to breath in and out peacefully 
  • Maybe, tell a friend/teacher. They can help!
  • Try to get your mind thinking about something else, like who is the shortest person in the world!
  • Listen to music or read a book in a place where you feel safe
  • And the most important…DONT WORRY, BE HAPPY ?
