It’s Good To Be Me!!!

Hi everyone,

We were all delighted by your behaviour in the assemblies this week, thank you very much for showing our current value and being very responsible!

So, please let us know what makes you special and unique!

Also, what should we call the song my friend wrote and sang for us? I’m going to ask him to make another one when he has time. In the Y5 assembly, we all had a laugh when Ms Stenhouse forgot to mute her mic and was singing (rather wonderfully) to the Caxton Song!!!

  1. I think that I’m special for my strong imagination! For example when I think of spring I imagine a place that is pink and bright and has lots of flowers and butterflies. The same goes for winter, I imagine a place that is full of snow and trees that are like Christmas trees like triangular ones. The same goes for all the seasons, for autumn lots of trees, leaves that are brown orange-yellow and all these colours and for summer I imagine a place that I like with the sun and lots of things, so if you say, for example, clown then I think of one for example now I’m thinking of the horror clown. Do you get it now? I think the song should be called, You Can Improve Your Knowledge.

I think that having a wonderful imagination is an amazing strength and will be incredibly useful (in fact vital) when becoming an author. We can all learn facts, practise mental maths – but improving your imagination isn’t as easy to do… You know – when I was younger and rather bored, that was the time when I could let my imagination run wild. If you constantly watch TV or play video games, you don’t give your brain a chance to develop your imagination. We should look at times when we are bored as a precious opportunity to get creative in our minds. I used to create fantastical worlds in my mind when sitting, bored, perhaps waiting for a bus or a train when younger… The ability to create vivid pictures in your mind is a skill that you will make full use of when you are an author! I’m sure of it!
I love your song title choice, Nicole. Thanks as always!

  2. Your welcome!
